Mis-scored test

A test can be scored incorrectly in three ways:
  1. The teacher clicks the submit button on the teacher scored items but the wrong numbers, or empty spaces were entered.
  2. The teacher submits the teacher scored items and then clicks the Discontinue & Score link before the student completes the multiple-choice questions on the test.
  3. The student’s grade is marked incorrectly, which will not affect the scaled-score results on the CELLA but WILL affect the performance level results.
In situations (1) and (2), the teacher must assume that the test score is incorrect and the student must be retested. In situation (3) the teacher must assume that the performance level is incorrect.

Retesting may not require that the student come back to the computer if the student already completed all test items.

If the student has completed all test items, follow these steps:
1)    Print a copy of the current student report.
2)    Check the student’s grade, and assign a test form to the student account.
3)    Login as the student and enter exactly the student responses to all multiple-choice items, and then click the FINISH button.
4)    Go to the teacher-scored items and submit the correct scores.
5)    Print out the correct report.
6)    Destroy the hardcopy of the incorrect report. (Note: the electronic report cannot be removed from the system.)

If the student has NOT completed all test items, follow these steps:

1)    Print a copy of the current student report.
2)    Check the student’s grade and assign a test form to the student account.
3)    Login as the student and enter exactly the student responses to all multiple-choice items, and be sure to stop where the student left off. (in case the student did not reach the multiple choice items, be sure to stop at the last item the student completed.
4)    Click the EXIT button.
5)    Have the student login and complete testing, be sure that the student clicks on the FINISH button.
6)    Go to the teacher-scored items and submit the correct scores.
7)    Print out the correct report.
8)    Destroy the hardcopy of the incorrect report. (Note: the electronic report cannot be removed from the system.)
